The Grenoble Alpes site is characterized by a long-standing and effective cooperation of IT actors from academic institutions.
The site culture in terms of shared multi-institution digital structures has a long history with DSIM (ex-SIMSU) and cooperation between the IT departments of the institutions. This pooling policy is at the heart of the current dynamics of the Grenoble Alpes site, which is reflected in the provision of high-performance and innovative shared digital tools and services to the site and its users.
In addition to the computing and data services offered and managed by GRICAD, the Grenoble site has site infrastructures, operated mainly by the UGA IT Department in close collaboration with other players, including GRICAD.
These site services are:

• the platform of storage SUMMER
• the platform of virtualization WINTER
• the IT server hosting service in the shared rooms of the site constituting the UGA datacenter
• the datacenter network infrastructure SPRING.
