High Performance Computing

GRICAD provides access to intensive computing resources to meet the HPC & AI needs of scientific communities:

• Access to supercomputers and associated storage spaces
• User support (access, jobs submission issues, code deployment assistance)

These infrastructures are open to all members of the Grenoble Alpes scientific communities, as well as their external collaborators. Every user must accept the Terms of Use.

Additionally, GRICAD acts as a facilitator for financial pooling to purchase or contribute to infrastructures.

Two generations of platforms are maintained in parallel:

• Since 2025: CINAURA-Kraken is available in two platforms:
  • Kraken-cpu: high-performance computing and data analysis
  • Kraken-gpu: GPGPU computing and artificial intelligence model training
• Since 2018:
  • Dahu: high-performance computing and data analysis platform
  • Bigfoot: GPU computing platform and execution of machine learning models (AI)
