Research Engineer (M/F) – High-Performance Computing, Materials & AI

As part of the PEPR DIADEM initiative, which is shaping digital practices (data and software) within the French materials science community, within the GRICAD unit, the engineer’s primary mission will be to lead, optimize, and facilitate the deployment of software codes identified and packaged within the project, as well as their execution on supercomputers, such as those at GRICAD or at TGCC. In particular, the candidate will serve as a liaison between the other engineers recruited for the project and the tools developed (containers, workflow manager, demonstrators) and the materials community to ensure that the platform is effectively adopted. As part of the European Horizon Europe LUMEN project, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and monitoring the LUMEN project and will primarily be assigned to project management (WP1) in collaboration with the project’s scientific coordinator and the regional office for administrative and financial matters. The project manager will also be required to help coordinate the project partners and may be involved in various work packages (WP) depending on the needs. The University of Grenoble Alpes is recruiting an IR in ‘Data and Software Engineering in the Humanities and Social Sciences’.

Your mission will be to implement data engineering solutions at the heart of UGA’s social sciences and humanities research projects. You will develop scripts, codes and software specific to research projects.

TSOSI, a project funded by the Open Science Committee, is recruiting a web and data engineer. Join GRICAD to help develop the new tsosi.org platform, dedicated to supporting open science infrastructure. Based on the Gières campus, the GRICAD unit brings together experts in open science, AI and scientific computing in a stimulating environment.

The main tasks of the Systems team are the maintenance and development of HPC platforms, cloud computing, storage and notebooks, as well as information system infrastructures and services for the Grenoble community.
