Academic Committee for Data Challenges

Gricad supports you in the design and implementation of scientific Data Challenges.

The Academic Committee for Data Challenges (ACDC) was established in 2024. Its mission is to design, supervise, and provide guidance on the implementation of scientific data challenges, also known as scientific benchmarks, scientific competitions, or hackathons.

The goal of ACDC is to oversee the creation and organization of these data competitions, primarily intended for researchers, but also open to a broader academic audience, including students.

ACDC is a partner of Codabench (formerly Codalab), the reference platform for academic competitions, according to the survey published by MLContests 2024.
Codabench is a free and open-source web platform developed by Université Paris-Saclay, enabling the hosting of data challenges while ensuring the long-term sustainability and traceability of the data.

Here is a catalog of challenges ready for reuse. Each challenge is provided with a Git repository and a challenge published on Codabench, including the required skills and the intended audience for the challenge.

The ACDC unit is financially supported by EFELIA-MIAI.
